About the Position
The postdoctoral researcher will be integral to the MushVax project, focusing on the genetic engineering and transformation of filamentous fungi, particularly Trichoderma reesei and Pleurotus spp. Key responsibilities include constructing and characterizing recombinant strains, evaluating antigen expression, secretion, or surface display, and optimizing fungal cultivation parameters for efficient antigen production.
Eligibility
- PhD in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related fields
- Experience with genetic transformation of filamentous fungi, especially Trichoderma reesei and/or Pleurotus spp.
- Experience in bioinformatics for sequence analysis
- Experience in molecular cloning, vector construction, and heterologous expression
- Experience in molecular characterization of recombinant strains, including PCR, sequence analysis, and gene expression evaluation by qPCR/RT-qPCR
