About the Position
The research will involve identifying and characterizing carbonate-rich wastes, processing them, and incorporating them into ceramic bodies. The fellow will develop and optimize different formulations, assessing the impact of replacing conventional carbonates on the properties of ceramic bodies and the performance of fired products. A primary focus will be on formulating ceramic bodies and glazes that reduce chemical CO₂ emissions.
Eligibility
- Hold a Master's degree in Materials Engineering.
- Be enrolled in a doctoral program in Materials Engineering at the University of Aveiro.
- Possess experience relevant to the project's scientific area and work plans.
- Demonstrate written proficiency in both Portuguese and English.
- If the qualification is from a foreign institution, it must be recognized by a Portuguese higher education institution by the hiring date.
